ABOUT THE TEACHER
PROFESSIONAL BIO
Mr. Joseph embarked on his music education journey at the age of 10 with instruction in piano and violin. A natural affinity for improvisation solidified his passion for the latter, which would continue all throughout both his primary and secondary
school years, where he developed a love for both band and orchestra, quickly learning any new instrument he could acquire.
His exceptional, self-taught skills in ear training and audiation earned him repute among his teachers for reliability and leadership in performance settings. After experiencing substantial growth as a violinist at IVC under the tutelage of Iman Khosrowpour, Mr. Joseph pursued and completed his bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance and Music Education at CSULB, studying under violinist Andrea Byers, and performing both popular and classical masterworks alongside education and
industry professionals, including Simeon Simeonov, David Garrett, and former “Celtic Woman” Chloe Agnew. Excellent instruction in Music Theory, composition, and Emerging Methods in Music Education fosteredMr. Joseph’s passion for creativity, which he has been integrating into music instruction since he began teaching in 2014.
In addition to music, Mr. Joseph enjoys staying active with sports, technology, and video games when he is not busy engaging with and serving his family and his church, which has greatly influenced his passion for music. His experience has shown that
music is a gift to be shared, with the capacity to heal, to bring together, deepen knowledge of ourselves, and give us the tools to grow into more fully alive, happy, and thriving human beings.
