ABOUT THE TEACHER

PROFESSIONAL BIO

Sabah Sayeh's musical journey began at a young age, sparking a lifelong passion for music education and performance through participation in festivals, fundraisers, and several local orchestras, she has performed a variety of concerts featuring classical and contemporary composers, including Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker", Mozart's "Symphony No. 31," Schubert's "Unfinished" Symphony, and Carl Nielsen's "Aladdin Suite" in addition to local compositions

such as Kinan Azzameh's "Wedding" and more. She was also featured in a live TV performance at the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem to celebrate Christmas. Immersed in the world of musicology. Sabah explored the depths of musical history, theory, harmony, and cultural significance during her time at An-Najah National University, where she earned her Bachelor's in Musicology.

As the top student in her Music department, Sabah earned the opportunity to travel to Norway obtaining a minor degree in Drama and Intercultural Communication. During her time there, she showcased the power of music in theatres, using the cello to enrich performances and highlight its profound impact. Since 2017, Sabah has found immense joy in instructing students in Classical and Baroque Music, while her deepest passion lies in Oriental, Contemporary, and Folk Music. Over the past seven years, Sabah has dedicated herself to teaching children and young adults in both group and individual sessions. Sabah taught cello, basic piano, elementary violin/viola, and music theory to children in refugee camps in the Middle East. The main goal was to empower these kids, especially young girls, by promoting education and a love for music. She also provided music therapy sessions to individuals with diverse needs, using music to enhance physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being. Sabah believes that when children learn music, they not only improve their memory but also develop discipline, commitment, and patience, helping them overcome challenges while also

enjoying playing music. Sabah is also passionate about animals. Her deep affection led her to volunteer and play music for dogs and donkeys at a sanctuary shelter for an entire year. She finds solace in nature and firmly believes that music resonates everywhere, from the gentle rustle of the wind to the rhythmic patter of raindrops on leaves, if only we take the time to truly listen.
