ABOUT THE TEACHER

PROFESSIONAL BIO

Grayson Wang embarked on his journey in piano at the tender age of 6 in China, igniting a passion that would shape his future. In 2017, thirsting for new horizons in piano pedagogy, he ventured abroad to the High School of America. Under the tutelage of Dr. Andrew Park, he continued to hone his craft, seizing countless opportunities to partake in Master Classes led by renowned pianists such as John Perry, Fabio Bidini, and Alan Chow.

 

In 2019, Mr. Grayson's dedication and talent earned him acceptance into the esteemed Oberlin Conservatory of Music, accompanied by scholarships, a testament to his exceptional prowess. During his undergraduate years, he had the privilege of studying under the guidance of Alvin Chow, the esteemed chairman of the Oberlin Piano Department, further refining his artistry and musicality.

 

Continuing his pursuit of excellence, Mr. Grayson's journey led him to the prestigious USC Thornton School of Music in 2024. Awarded with a scholarship for his Master's Degree in piano performance, he eagerly anticipates studying under the mentorship of Professor Antoinette Perry, renowned for her expertise and dedication to musical education.

 

Beyond his passion for performance, Mr. Grayson is deeply committed to sharing his knowledge and love for music through teaching. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, he offers comprehensive lessons encompassing Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) curriculum, music theory, and keyboard skills, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching learning experience for his students.
